The UAM Board of Visitors meet Thursday October 2nd at the Crossett campus. The meeting was chaired by UAM Chancellor Dr. Jack Lassiter. Reports from were given by the various Vice Chancellors and other University staff form the main campus in Monticello and the branch campuses in McGhee and Crossett. A report on the Heavy Equipment School in Warren was also provided.
New officers were elected. Fred Denton of McGhee was elected Chairman, Gregg Reep of Warren was elected Vice Chairman and Millie Jo Owens of Monticello was selected board secretary.
Board of Visitor members serve in an advisory capacity to the University. The University of Arkansas Board of Trustees governs the college.
