Danny Avera of Deep South Fire Trucks, Inc. hands over the keys to the new Rescue Truck to Mayor Bryan Martin and  the Warren Fire Department.
The people of Warren are covered with an increased level of emergency services as of July 2, 2013.  That's the day a brand new Ford F550 4X4, 4 door rescue truck was delivered to the Warren Fire Department.  Delivery was made by Deep South Fire Trucks, Inc. of Seminary, Mississippi.  The vehicle, which will be housed at the City of Warren Emergency Services Center will be manned by and operated within the Warren Fire Department.

In addition to extensive rescue and extrication equipment, the unit will have the ability to spray 300 gallons of water for fire fighting purposes.  Most of the equipment has previously been purchased by the city.  Some additional items will be bought.

The Rescue Truck cost about $118,600.00  A $50,000 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture will help defray the cost.  City funds will cover the balance.

The new unit will be designated Warren Rescue Truck 5.
